What To Eat To Lose Weight: Letting Your Body Burn Fat
Taylor Ryan
So many women ask me what to eat to lose weight. There is a lot of focus, and rightly so, about foods that can burn fat. But here is something you may not have thought about...Foods Don't Burn Fat!This might come as a surprise, but you are going to learn why that is the case and which type of foods allow your body to burn fat quickly. Why Don't Foods Burn Fat?Foods don't burn fat because they just can't do it. Your fat disappears from your body because your body is using it for fuel and it's using more fuel than is being taken in. So the net results is fat loss. Makes sense right? So while food does not actively help you lose weight in the fat burning sense, it does let your body use fat storage as fuel. It's all about a calorie balance which can become second nature to you. How Do Foods Let Your Body Burn Fat?When you are just starting out to lose weight, most women drastically cut their calories. Most of the time they cut too much and this literally scares the body. It thinks it will not see a lot of food in it's future so to protect against that it will store as much energy as fat as it can. It's stocking up for the lack of calories.
Whatever you do, don't drop calories too much for too long. Here's what you want to happen. Take three days to one week and just act normal and track all the foods you eat. You also want to include the time of day you ate the foods. Keep in mind any sauces you put on them count as well as drinks.
Then using the nutrient database you have a good idea about how many total calories you eat during the day.Now use the basal metabolic rate calculation and get your basal metabolic rate... What Is The Basal Metabolic Rate? This is what your metabolism is at complete rest. It's about how many calories your body burns if you were to do nothing all day long. Once you get this number, you can add 500 or so calories to it to get an idea of how many calories you burn each day. This is just a guess so don't put too much stock behind it. It's for good measure. Now It's Time To Burn Fat!Now take your calorie number and take off 250 to 300 calories from it. And this new number is what you are going to eat each day. Initially you will have to count calories to get a good idea or portion sizes and how much food is the right amount. You will quickly catch on to the correct amounts and you won't have to count as much. The foods you want to eat are with as little sugar as possible and if you can as organic as you can get. Here are some good examples: FOODS.... Now Just Add ExerciseNow just add three days for some resistance training and you will not only lose weight rapidly and safely, but you will slim down faster than you can imagine. Seriously... it will only take a couple weeks and you can be many inches slimmer and over 10 pounds lighter. But You Can't Do This Forever! But you don't want to keep this up. This is to initially juice up your weight loss and fat loss. Two to three weeks tops then you have to bring your calorie intake back up by 300 to 350 calories a day. This will put you with a slight surplus each day but that will help to support your lean muscle mass. This will help you in the long run as you will be jacking up your basal metabolic rate. That is how you lose weight and that is what you eat to lose weight... much easier than you thought isn't it?
