The Craziest and Most Bogus Methods To Lose Weight

Now, these are not methods that I would ever try or that I would suggest for you to do; however, they are pretty freaking interesting to learn about which is why I want to share them. What surprises me most is that some people actually do follow through with these weight loss methods.

The first, is freezing your tush off. Really, freezing until you burn off your tush. The idea is that when


your body is cold, it has to work harder to keep your body at a healthy 98.6 degrees. To do that your metabolism turns on turbo blast. Some people to get to this state will sit in an ice bath a few nights a week with 1-2 bags of ice dumped into their tub. They just sit back and chill for around 20 minutes. If you shiver that means you're burning more. I think that being cold is the worst torture, so this is one method you will never ever see me partake in.

Second on the list is the gum diet. Chewing gum is known to help suppress your appetite, but some go even further. If you chew gum for 24/7 it is believed that you would lose 11 pounds in a year. Of course it has to be sugar-free, which contains sorbitol.... which in tern has a laxative affect. Not fun for stomach cramps and ulcers. And if you've ever chewed a piece of gum for a log time, then you know how sore your jaw can be the following day. I'm sorry, I do not see my stick of Extra to be a meal.

Third, there is the cotton ball diet. And yes, it really is just as the name implies. It's hard to believe,


however this is a rumor for models. They eat cotton balls either dry or dipped in juice. Of course they are full of fiber but not the kind of fiber we need to survive. And of course they will make you feel full fast, but it's downright dangerous for your health.

And the fourth and final insane way to drop a few pounds fast is to swallow a parasite. There are actually places in Mexico where you can go and get a tape worm put into your body to help drop some lbs fast. Of course they are without side affects such as diarrhea, bloating, vomiting, and malnutrition. It blows my mind that someone actually would sign up to do this voluntarily, but it appears they do.

The bottom line is, you don't need some insane method to drop weight, just follow an actual program around your goals and your fitness level. And of course you know the program should include both a great exercise routine and healthy eating habits.
