Dan Boyle

Hitting Your Goals And Learning To Be The Best You

Lesson 3

The final lesson on achieving everything you want... weather in or out of the gym. This is not some new age thought and Let me tell you, if you haven't seen or read this then I suggest hopping in the car and renting it today.

Law Of Attraction And Weight Training

I am sure you have seen "The Secret." The buzz about it has died down a ton from when it came out in book form and DVD. I don't remember why it was so good, but the publicity it received seemed to come almost all from word of mouth. It was quite of buzz. "The Secret" was all about using the Law of Attraction to achieve the needs and wants you have in you life.

Can this Law of Attraction help you achieve your weight training and nutrition goals? It sure can and here are 5 ways showing how you can use it.

1. Have to know what you want

This can be a tricky little idea to really think about. What do you really want? Sure you want to be ripped and you want to lead a clean healthy life... but you need more detail than just that. What do you want your body to really look like? Why do you want it to look like that? What would you do if it did?

The clearer the picture you can make of what your life would be like when you reach your weight training goal, the more motivated and clearer you will become on progressing towards that.

Next time you are in the gym, do a little experiment. Ask somebody there you know what they are really shooting for. Why do they keep working out. I am willing to bet that you will get a very unclear and flat answer.

Personal development is always a touchy issue for me because some people think it is all fluffy crap, but if you truly know what you want your life to be because of your weight lifting, then you will almost guarantee that you hit your goals.

2. You have to ACT Now!

This can be difficult. I was actually having a conversation with a business partner of mine one day. He was bent on cleaning up his life, working out, and just becoming all around healthy in many ways.

I told him that he should join a gym and start lifting weights. I proceeded to tell him how great it makes you feel and how it can really boost your confidence... literally change your life. He told me yeah that is great, but it is so hard to start.

It is hard to start something new... something that actually takes work. However, the very best time to start is now. If you already weight train... are you doing everything you can to hit you goal? If there is something new you can do, start it now. The sooner you begin the sooner you will succeed.

Smile when you weight train and you will add more good vibes to your attitude.
3. You have to have FUN!

If you aren't having fun going after your fitness goals, then weight training is not for you possibly. If you truly hate it and can't get it done then I suggest you find something else to pursue. You can only set yourself up to fail if you hate what you do.

If you are having fun though then it becomes easier to reach your goals and find new ways to push yourself.

If something is not fun then why do it.

4. You have to keep out the bad

This can be really difficult. Keeping out the negative voices, the negative news, and just all around negativity in your life is almost impossible. You wake up and if you turn on the news, it is 99% bad. Your friends and family... the people that you expect to be the ones there for support are sometimes the people that bring you down the hardest.

If you remain conscience of the negativity in your life and truly work to eliminate it, I guarantee your over all mood will improve greatly. This goes for anybody telling you that you can't hit your fitness goals.

I consistently set very demanding fitness goals and when I tell the guys in my gym... they laugh. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail, but either way I am way better off then they are because either way I improved.

When you are in the gym and you hear people complaining or overacting to working out, get away as fast as you can. Don't let that verbal and negative attitude bring you workout down too.

5. You have to believe in yourself

Believing in yourself comes pretty naturally when you have fun and really work on creating the image of what you are shooting for. But keep working on your self-belief. There are many people that for some reason or another just don't believe that they can achieve the results that other people have.

It is hard to put into words, but if you can consistently work on convincing yourself that you can achieve what you want... one day you will just come to believe it. Eventually your subconscious just agrees with you and that confidence controls you.

Make sure that any gains you make, you make not of them. If you make a great physical stride then take a picture and record it. You can use these pictures and any stories to go back and build the confidence back up if you end up having a bad day.

Use these small little methods to help you achieve your fitness goals. Everybody has days when they are not mentally with it and then work you do on your self belief now translates into you getting through those tough times.
