Where you are is probably a lot like where I was abut 7 years ago. At my peak, I was 32 pounds overweight, but even when I did lose size, I put on more fat and was what is known as skinny fat.
Skinny fat is when you lose weight but what you are really losing is lean muscle mass. That lowers your resting metabolic rate so when you eat food, it can't burn all the calories and it ends up storing them as fat. (In short you end up with a skinnier, mushy, zero definition body that feels horrible.)
I got this way because I was eating way too much and I was in my low 20's at the time to. So I was something of a party girl too. And since I was in college at the time, when I was not partying, I was sitting at my desk studying.
Too much food and liquid calories mixed with sitting all day and all night equals massive fat and weight gain. (Sounds a lot like what most career women do these days except instead of no partying, they barely eat thinking that will help lose weight... big mistake!)
My Sweaters And My Overreaction
I felt so terrible about myself and looking back I noticed I wore a lot of sweaters and sweatshirts. Even when it was warm outside I would wear the baggiest clothing. I am sure you can relate to the fact that hating your body has to be one of the most depressing and sickly feelings every.
Then one day my Dad pretty much told me I was fat. His exact words where, "Taylor, what happened to you, you're not supposed to be this big?"
That Was My Turning Point... Time To Get
Healthy and In Shape!
At the time I didn't know anything about how to eat correctly or how to exercise. I believed in the two worst myths you could possibly do when you want to burn fat.
- Drastically cut your calories
- Run on the treadmill and elliptical machines non-stop
Come to think about it look at all the different fitness and weight loss products on the market today.
- Ab rollers and ab twister machines
- Ab balls and sit up balls
- The return of aerobics has even happened
- Tons of nutrition and fitness ebooks with hundreds and hundreds of pages
- Diet pills, colon cleansers, and acai berries
The list goes on and on, but why don't these work? Why did I when I first tried to lose weight fall for them too?
1. They Never Back Up Their Hype
They would always get you so excited talking with hype making you think that you could just sit around and lose weight. But when you took the pill or opened the course, it was nothing like it said. That or it just completely failed or made you feel sick.
2. They Had You Exercising Daily
The programs that at least had you doing workouts would suggest doing it daily and sometimes for over an hours at a time. Who the heck as time for that? It's impossible to rearrange your life that much and it just got flat out discouraging too.
3. The Diet Plans Had Me Buying More and Changing Everything
All the nutrition and diet plans had me buying these expensive foods and changing practically everything I was eating. I knew that is what I eventually needed but it was way too much at once. I just got fed up and quit that after the first week.
4. The Ebooks Were Hundreds of Pages Long
The ebooks I bought off the Internet were so long I don't think I actually finished a single one of them. I got stuck just scanning over not really picking up anything or I would read and night, get two pages in and fall asleep.
There Are So Many More Reasons
Things Didn't Work Out
How about you? What have you tried that didn't work?
Very soon I am going to tell you how to went from depressed and overweight to anorexic and moody to finally getting a challenge that changed the course of my life.
This will help you because you are probably making very similar mistakes that I was and continued to make.

P.S. If you want a program that doesn't even try to trick you with hype, but more than back up all of it's promises...
A program that does not come close to having you exercise daily, but rather allows you to easily schedule workouts only three days a week...
A program that helps you make small changes to your diet that have enormous results, like identifying your fulcrum foods...
And a program that is not even an ebook, but completely based on video so you can learn what you need and then easily get started with the plan...
