Working Out Too Much Can Happen And You Don't Want It
Taylor Ryan
Everybody knows, whether they follow the advice or now, that exercising is very good for your body, your mind, and your life. Sounds really great… however, too much exercise and do everything opposite and really hurt your life and even lead to death. It's actually more common than you think and it's called exercise bulimia. Let's take a look at what happens to your body when you do this and how you can easily get a system to avoid it. If you're wondering what too much exercise really looks like, if you're not an athlete, then it's when you are working out everyday, multiple times a day, and even restricting your calories. This is really dangerous because on a big picture scheme, your body will be breaking down your muscle because of excessive calorie burn. This lowers your metabolism because of the less and less muscle mass. Most people who suffer from exercise bulimia will also really cut their calories. Typically, this happens to younger women when their bodies change through their 20's and they are trying to keep the previous body. So as you can tell, calorie restriction just compounds the issue because you are not feeding your body enough fuel to keep it going and the fact that you are burning too many calories to begin with. Unless you're an athlete, nobody is going to come up to your and give you a plan for fitness. You have to seek out the right fitness trainer to help you with your workout plans and to be a mentor as well. It is important to realize that you want to use both cardio and resistance training, I don't want to make it sound like you don't have to workout but once a week now. Here's what I recommend and how you can help fight off exercising too much. It's best if you can make your resistance exercise routines last about 40 minutes tops and only do those three times a week. If you want to get in cardio then that can be three days too, but only last 20 minutes. It's vital from a calorie viewpoint that you use clean eating recipes as these will allow you to eat guilt free and still maintain a slim confident waste line... many times while increase the number of calories you eat. - Photo courtesy of Mens Health
