Top Ten Ways To Decrease Cellulite

The truth of the matter is that 90% of women will have to deal with cellulite at some point in their lives. It doesn't matter if your skinny or large, cellulite isn't picky on who it attacks. I don't understand why it's an embarrassing issue to talk about, after all, most of the women around you have the same issue.

Here are ways to help reduce your cellulite and decrease it's appearance. To be honest, it may never go away completely, but it can be helped!

1. Lift Weights

When it comes down to it, cellulite is still just fat. It's not the same fat that hangs over pants or wiggles

when you wave, but its fat trapped right under the skin. It can be decreased with a proper workout program. If you increase your metabolism, and fat burning potential then you have a good change of losing some of the cellulite that you see on your tush and other trouble zones.

Another perk, is that if you build up some muscle, you will help give yourself a smoother and cleaner appearance. Just make sure you get a great fat burning workout!

2. Stay Hydrated.

Keep your body hydrated for healthier skin and decreased appearance of your bumps.Your muscles will thank you too. Believe it or not, but the more water you drink, the less water retention you have. It will help to flush out the toxins and inflammation in the fat which is plaguing you.

3. Eat Clean.

Out of all the influencing factors of cellulite (aside from genetics) diet is the biggest. What you eat counts for about 70% or more of what you look like! So if you want to be able to pinch your leg without seeing dimples, then start transforming your diet to be clean.

Try to avoid as much processed foods as possible, no refined sugars, and healthy carbs. Also make sure to have a balanced diet that includes protein, carbohydrates and fats... you need them all for your body to look and feel it's best. Also, try to keep sodium intake to a minimum. Salt is responsible for bloating and water retention... you will see that water safe up in your cellulite!

Store up on fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and healthy oils (coconut, olive, etc).

4. Do Some Cardio

Don't ever rely on cardio alone for results. If so you will end up disappointed and possibly with more cellulite. But the right cardio interval workout paired with a great strength training workout will help increase your fat burning and help decrease the cellulite you see.

It doesn't take a lot of time either, the best interval aerobic workouts are done in less than 25 minutes and that includes the cool-down.

5. Massage It Out.

Get your guy to give you a massage on your trouble zones. Massaging your cellulite helps to rid yourself of toxins, inflammation and helps to literally smooth the area out. It is a short term goal, but it makes a difference if you have a date.

6. Lay Off Coffee and Alcohol.

Drinking these two things can lead to imbalanced hormones and an increase in cellulite production. They directly affect your estrogen levels... do you see many guys fussing about cellulite? Nope, because they don't have our hormone levels of estrogen. Coffee and especially alcohol increase estrogen and that means increased fat storage. Plus, they are both diuretics which means they cause dehydration

7. Use Coffee Grinds

Weird, I know. I did just say to avoid coffee but I meant to avoid drinking it. Since you still have it in the pantry you might as well use it. Coffee used as a rub can temporarily decrease the appearance, once again because of it's diuretic affect. It can draw out the inflammation in the fat to help your areas look less affected by the orange peel affect.

One way to go about it, is to mix the grinds with lotion. Rub on and keep on for 30 minutes before wiping or washing off.

8. Yoga It Up

Yoga is great for increasing blood flow throughout the body and that helps to rid it of toxins and excess fluids, which means your cellulite has the potential to significantly decrease. Start your morning off with just 10 minutes of yoga to get your blood flowing!

9. Finish With A Cold Splash

When you're getting ready to get out of the shower, turn it cooler to help keep your skin hydrated. Warm water makes your skin lose lots of moisture but finishing off with a cold splash can do wonders to your skin and energy for the day.

10. Glucosamine

I'm not sure about this one but a friend swears and so does some research that taking glucosamine helps to repair connective tissues and and dermis (skin) which is what cellulite affects. Glucosamine is also great for joints.
