Turbulence Training: Honest Review of the Program
Taylor Ryan and Dan Boyle

Dear Fitness Friend,

Whatever you want to call it...

Getting in shape... Losing weight... Lose the inches... Getting rid of the pooch...

There are probably a million other slang phrases for what I call getting in shape. Just as there are a million different slang terms for it, there are a tons of ways that you can go about it. It really depends on your goals.

For example...

If you are a runner, while you may want to lift weights, you won't want to put on too much lean body mass. Too much will slow your down. If you play sports with some friends, you may want to pack on some extra lean muscle mass for power and strength... and... if you just want to look good naked and have amazing confidence..

Then maybe Turbulence Training can be a great weapon in your arsenal.

Packing on lean muscle mass and loosing the body fat is the way to go. Sounds easy enough, but how do you do it?

Enter Turbulence Training.

This is by trainer Craig Ballantyne. He is pretty famous on the Internet and rightly so. His workouts are great for you.

My name is Dan and my partner is Taylor Ryan. We are both certified trainers and we were surprised when we read Turbulence Training. But enough talk about what we think.

Dive in and learn if it will be right for you. Because that's what matters most.

What Does It Do?

The one main aspect of Turbulence Training that Taylor and I liked best was...

It's to the point!

Finally a great ebook that is not filled with too much filler. It gets right to the workouts and then delivers TONS of workouts.

These workouts are designed to shred your body fat and build some lean muscle mass. You have to build lean muscle mass so it can literally use your fat for energy and in return... you lose fat.

It's the best trade off because instead of being soft and mussy, you'll be hard, tight, and looking amazing.

Craig Ballantyne has worked with Alwyn Cosgrove who is an amazing trainer. Alwyn is actually Taylor and I's mentor when it comes to training. Without going into to much detail about proper program design, you can expect...

Workouts that will get your entire body

Workouts that build muscle

Workouts that get your heart rate up like crazy

Workouts that don't take to long to go through

If you can commit to it. It will make you thin and muscular. And both men and women can get these same results from the same programs.

First Impressions

We thought it was going to be like every other ebook and have the first 30 to 50 pages full of how muscles work and then go through a ton of the different muscles with picture diagrams.

However, when I started to go through the program, I noticed that almost of all of that was not even there. That is great because it goes straight to the workouts.

That's what you're after anyway... right?

Moving on... when I started to go through the workouts, I expected them to be good. Being a student of program design myself, I have heard of Craig Ballantyne before and knew his programs were solid.

What I really liked was he made them easy to follow. Sometimes you will find some great workouts, but they are so confusing to follow that they become worthless. That is not the case here.

I can't see how any questions are left unanswered from the breakdown.

So both Taylor and I loved the workouts and I know you too will find them easy to follow.

My final last impression I'll talk more about in the next section, but I loved seeing circuit training involved in Turbulence Training's programs.

Circuit training is very difficult to do but it will get your shredded. Women... if you want that tight tummy with sexy lines. Circuit training will do it. And Men... if you want to get cut up like crazy, circuit training will do it.

Sounds pretty good right?

Well let's get into whether it works or not. After all real world results are what matters here.

Does It Work?

Yes these programs work.

If you are seeking "real" results that will last you a lifetime then you know that pills, fad diets, and natural berry products will not work by themselves.

No matter what you need to exercise and eat sensibly.

Which leads to the fact that if you are ready to workout and make a change in your life then Turbulence Training will work for you. You will lose inches by shredding body fat. You'll also notice the powerful lines of added muscle.

You won't get huge like a bodybuilder. This is not bodybuilding training. This is very solid training for the "normal" person.

Reengineer The Way You Think

About Fitness

The first phase of Turbulence Training is geared towards explaining the "why's" and "what's" about the training philosophies. Craig's major point he tries to drill into you is that running on the treadmill or pedaling on the bike isn't going to get you a tight, lean body.

And he is right. They can actually add body fat onto your body... but that's a discussion for another day.

Turbulence Training is all about learning how to burn fat and put on some muscle through two major factors: intensity and intervals. And is stresses doing this as quickly as possible. All the workouts can be done in under 45 minutes, 3-days a week.

That's pretty quick. And you can definitely get away with two days a week every now and again.

Why You Don't Need To Be

Scared of Weight Lifting

He goes into explaining (even with the help of specific research) why weight lifting is for anyone wanting to get a better body. And why your current workout patterns could be holding you back from getting a great body.

It's great to see all these claims backed by solid research proof. You simply can't argue with that.

During this explanation section he also covers a bit on diet and nutrition… the overall structure of what your diet should look like. And by diet he doesn't mean eating a rice cake for lunch… he's talking real food to fuel your body and help you burn fat.

Proteins... complex carbs... and eating many times during the day. That keeps you body burning like a furnace.

Designed For Your Level

Of Fitness Skill

Because Turbulence Training was designed for anyone, no matter your fitness level, weight, age, etc... he covers exactly where you should start with the weight training.

If you are a real fitness newbie then you will be exposed to workouts geared to get you into proper form and then move you all the way through to the advanced workouts…

Not over night of course but you will have 16 weeks of great workouts.

He never makes false promises, Craig really works to win the trust of his clients and you get that immediately when he lays it on the line what you can expect:

Lose 1-2 pounds of fat per week

Only expect results if you follow the workouts AND implement proper nutrition.

Those that have a lot of fat to lose can expect a great initial loss (2-5 lbs a week).

And more…

Bad Points

I really didn't want to have any negatives because I was really excited to read Turbulence Training but I will admit that the information section which is written in question/answer form is well… a bit boring.

Yes... my head did drop a couple times ;)

There was some stuff that seemed a bit repetitive, basic and space fillers... anyone that is experienced with strength training is better off skipping straight through to the workouts.

Also, the images of the exercises are a bit small and if you don't know an exercise you might have to squint your eyes to try and make out the specifics of the moves. Thankfully he gives good bullet points explaining the movements.

Like many workouts books... all the bonuses just pile on more workouts. So when all is said and done you'll have so many workouts, most of which you'll probably never touch.

It would have been good to see better bonuses that will compliment your new fitness lifestyle. Maybe better diet books, or recipe books, or even good mental development books.

The last con is actually a pro... but... if you are expecting a light weight, simple workout then walk away now. The basis of these workouts is working hard and fast with heavy weights.

Good Points

One thing I really like is that from the start Craig provides a page for you to write down your goals and sign a "fitness contract". This holds you accountable and by seeing your goals on the paper will push you harder to reach them.

The workouts are of course a great benefit. Each is a 4-week weight training and cardio interval-training program. There are actually 2 routines for each that you alternate your workouts days with…

That means no boredom.

The exercises are classic moves that are known to deliver results. You won't feel funny with any new age moves or looking silly at the gym with weird exercises. Plus there are workout sheets for you to take along to the gym to keep track of your exercises and progress.

These sheets are a must have for any great workout to be successful.

The workouts don't stop when you finish the book. With all the bonus material provided you won't have to worry about being without a workout for a really long time.

There is no doubt that if you commit to the workouts and watch what you eat... You will get great results.

These programs work!

Summary and Final Score!

While this book could have been better served in the form of videos, it is an excellent addition to your fitness training. It's ten times less expensive than a "real" personal trainer…

And better than 80% of what many trainers are prescribing these days.

Just make sure you concentrate on form when you're doing the exercises. That is the one place most people mess up and what causes almost all of the injuries.
