If you eat too few calories, your body will need to tap into your energy reserves. These energy reserves mainly come from fat. So burning maximum calories at a safe level is the key to making fat loss work.

I know saying a safe level is vague. Lets put it this way, if you are going to go calorie deficient, never go 300 below your normal intake.

2. Endurance Training

Now we're really getting into some meat that makes fat burning programs work so well. All fat burning programs are designed as endurance training.

Endurance training has a longer time under tension. That means that you muscles are holding a resistance load for a longer period of time. The longer they hold a load, the more they are working and therefore the more calories they are burning.

I suggest you implement a difficult cardio circuit program in your off weight training days. This is mainly for the person who wants to get in incredibly shape, but doesn't plan to run any marathons.

Cardio training when done right is a great fat burning program because it boosts the calorie burn and if you activate some muscle… like weight lifting, it can boost your metabolism.
