Happy Tuesday! I am proud to announce a new part of The Art of Weight Lifting!! To better help my beautiful clients get the results they want I have created a new "Healthy Snacking" section, this is where I will personally put up snacks that I enjoy as well as snacks and foods that aren't so grand.
To see it though you have to become a member, which you can do right above and try it out!!
Here's a sneak peak at what this section is all about!
This came to a surprise to me... but the Super Bowl ranks 2nd for the day we eat the most calories in America (right behind Thanksgiving of course). Here's how it breaks down!
This morning Paula Deen, renowned Southern chef came out with her diabetes. Apparently she has been diagnosed for three years now but kept it a secret until the time she would have "something" to bring to the table... That "something" just happens to be a multi-million deal with a diabetic drug company to promote her pills. At first when I heard last week about the rumors, I thought she hid it because she didn't want to be scrutinized for her cooking habits, after all cooking burgers with doughnut buns does scream "DIABETES PLEASE"... and they have brought her a lot of money.
That part doesn't frustrate me, any American should realize that her recipes are not healthy and should not be a part of a normal diet.
What does get me is that I feel Paula sold herself short... instead of saying listen this is what I have... and to get better I am going to change my life with exercise and healthier eating she decided to take millions to push a pill.
That's not a role model, and that's not someone I stand behind. Type 2 Diabetes can be reversed, and just because you take a pill now doesn't mean you have to for the long run. But that doesn't happen on its own which I am sure Paula Deen's doctor (if he's a good one) has told her...
But this is just one crazy trainer's opinion... Watch and make up your own mind (click to go to MSN)
I found this video on a fellow blogger's site, SarahFit and I had to share it immediately! It's a hoot, and I was cracking up watching it... really! Dan just gave me the "what the hell" look!
