How motivated are you really? Are you sitting on your couch saying that you're going to start losing weight, or are you really going to start exercising and eating right?

Talk about some creativity going on in the gym lately! Because of my bummed knee (read about it here), I am off the roster for running and most lower body exercises. ?Talk about bummer... so what the heck am I suppose to do? Just sit on the sideline and allow all of my strength and muscle mass to melt away while it gets replaced with soft, squishy fat?
Ummm, not going to happen! I might have some atrophy happen in my legs but at least I will have an amazingly toned stomach and arms! Lol. Because that's what my workouts are consisting of right at this particular moment.
When you body says no at one part, you don't let it bring you down! Instead you change up your routine to make it suite your abilities. Too often women (and men) allow one obstacle to hold them back all together.
I can't tell you how many times I have heard of people getting injured in let's say their shoulder, and using it as an excuse to stop working out all together. It's absurd!
What's the old saying: When life throws you lemons, make lemonade!
I had a wonderful birthday yesterday! Thanks to so many of you who wrote on my facebook page and emailed birthday wishes! It made a girl feel loved for sure.
Normally Fridays are my "domestic duty days" the day to clean house and grocery shop.. but I said no way to most of it! I cleaned house on Thursday, I did however do the grocery shopping yesterday (I love going to the grocery store)... and the rest of the day was spent chilling and relaxing with my family!
Here's a quick recap of what I did and what I got over at my blog: Happy Birthday Recap.
I recently received a kick ass quinoa cookbook called Quinoa Cuisine and was feeling frisky to try out a few recipes! I have my meal plans laid out and this was what was on the docket for last night:
Tabouli Salad
Not to brag, but it was awesome. The freshness of the herbs and the veggies were the perfect meal for a warm night! It made Dan and I really excited for summer time!
If only I had had a cool, crisp glass of white wine... not during the week though!
